The resources allocated for operational training are often inadequate and do not correspond to the actual needs that occur in a specific workplace.
The availability of human resources, materials and time is largely not commensurate with the levels of operation required of the Police and military personnel who deal with this problem on a daily basis, especially in the field of shooting with firearms. For this reason we have decided to intervene to maximize the hours and funds allocated to this training by creating real-scale anatomical targets to increase awareness and efficiency of training practices. To date, field operatives must be prepared to intervene in response to threats, many times at short / medium range, sometimes even in close combat, minimizing terminal damage as much as possible.
From these specific needs comes a new work tool prepared and optimized for understanding by every type of operator, a didactic tool that allows a specific type of training, which mnemonically prepares operators to face potentially dangerous situations and timely intervention.
With Bellicus and ProApto we intervened right here, with scientific expertise in the medical-surgical, neuropsychological and graphic fields with specific studies on visual perception, we created a new type of Target with a new scoring concept. Detailed anatomical human graphics, very clear and explanatory captions, maxi-format prints in 1:1 scale, make our product unique in its kind. The Targets are a work tool as well as a didactic object capable of professionalizing the know-how of individual operators with notions of anatomy, damage and survival percentages. With individual and group tracking cards and shooting observations you get a clear view of the progression of the shooter’s skills.
Our Target is different because the concept of use is completely innovative compared to all the targets on the market. We have worked to ensure that the study phase and the application method are based on survival. How often are operators faced with a threat that needs to be stopped but not necessarily eliminated? Precisely on this concept we have based our work and our Targets. Based on proven scientific studies and with the support of industry professionals, a series of targets has been created that answer the needs of such specific jobs. Attempting to minimize the damage translates into a philanthropic practice with respect for human life, in the protection of human life but, at the same time, with the aim of guaranteeing the natural and civil rights of human life itself. All this also brings a direct protection of the operators from a legal point of view and an undoubted economic advantage for the structure.
The Surgeon Practice modular system consists of an anatomical base target, and innumerable covers to be placed on top. It is specifically designed for the progress of the psychophysical skills of the operators, and is not based only on the improvement of shooting skills, but in the advanced stage and with the use of dedicated covers, also for facial recognition, clothing recognition, body language and gestures. For this reason the covers created for an advanced level have various advantages such as, for example, photo realism, always different faces and contexts with increasing difficulty variables, obstacles and hostages, which stimulate attention and increase the ability to read the simulated situation .
Working with targets that simulate different situations and contexts, with subjects that vary in postures and actions, increases the decision-making skills of intervention, and prepares operators to face different types of stress.
